Mission Adopt-A-Block & the Mission Archives
In the summer 2006, the Mission Archives accepted Mission Adopt-A-Block’s historical papers, photographs and other assorted materials as the first donation received from a Mission environmental group AND community non-profit organization.
The Mission Adopt-A-Block submits a yearly donation of the society’s litter control program records, such as newspaper clippings, photographs, minutes, and more. Not only is this an important contribution to Mission’s historical archives but all archives are accessible to the public through Mission Archives. Mission Adopt-A-Block invites all volunteers who have litter stories and/or photographs of their Adopt-A-Block litter control experiences to submit them to the society so that they may be included in the yearly donation to the archives (in January each year).
For those that contribute to the Archives, this is not only an opportunity to be included in the legacy of Mission as a Mission Adopt-A-Block volunteer, but included in the history of Mission overall. If you have any other questions regarding the Mission Archives, you can contact The Mission Archives at firstname.lastname@example.org
